Youtube – Google Analytics Linking Going Away

Earlier, Google allowed us to connect our YouTube channel(s) with Google Analytics & monitor the channel page performances. As per this YouTube Help article, the ability to link your channel to Google Analytics will be discontinued on November 17, 2020.

YouTube Analytics will be the main source of truth to monitor YouTube channel performance. This will be a good move as now we don’t have to link our Google Analytics property manually & the data will be available in a single place.

If we have already connected our channel(s) to the GA, we will be still able to see the stats till February 1, 2021. Also, we have the option to export the existing data as we used to do on Google Analytics properties.

We will keep posted on any new changes to the YouTube – Google Analytics Integration.
